Furiasi of Ancona

Postby LyndaN » 30 Oct 2016, 02:54

Hi, I'm looking for any info on my uncle's mom's sister, Luciana Furiasi. The family was from Ancona and they lived in Castelfidardo.

My uncle's mom was Maddalena Furiasi (b. 1912) who married Carlo Gasparetti.

I have no clue where to start.

According to this arrival manifest for Maddalena Furiasse Gasparetti, and her daughter Adriana in 1939,
Maddalena was born in VARANO, and her last place of residence was Castelfidardo.
She was leaving her father, Eugenio Furiasse in Castelfidardo; and going to her husband, Carlo Gasparetti in Chicago.
Her daughter, Adriana (age 5) was born in Castelfidardo.

FYI - Varano is a frazione (village/hamlet) of the Comune (town) of Ancona.
The towns of Ancona and Castelfidardo are located in the Province of Ancona.

Wow! Thanks so much, that is definitely my uncle's mom and sister! I will pass this info on to my cousin.

Is there any way to find out more about Eugenio and his other daughter Luciana Furiassi / Furiasse?

Mr(s) LyndaN,
my pals have already dug up any online result. Others ways to find out... could be a trip & research, or someone-for-hire, etc

By the way, I uncovered some details in my time.

Luciana Furiasse lived in Castelfidardo, AN, Italy. She was born 1926.

Eugenio family had two additional children, both male.
  • Bruno Furiasse, whose descendancy is live and flowing. I heard one of them is a good soccer player, which is marvelous thing incidentally. Soccer is THE national sport in Italy.
  • Adriano Furiasse, which died young in 1934. In memory of the deceased brother, his sister Maddalena went on to name her firstborn Adriana.

A rapid sketch
