Joseph Rifici and wife Sabastiana

Postby corrado » 07 Nov 2016, 23:15

Hi guys,
From going over pictures of my dad I know he visited Brooklyn during the great war and visited this family. Family lore is that my grandmother Anglica Alberti (mothers name Suma) was related. From looking at pics there is no doubt about that. My question was Joseph or Ana a relation and were they married here or in Italy. What is the town of birth. The Alberti were from Casalvecchio Suclio Messina. Thank you guys

Here is a Petition for Naturalization for a Joseph Salvatore Rifici, residing at 11 Bay 35 Street, Brooklyn, NY. Occupation: pressman.
He was born in Mirto, Italy 28 September 1901.
Married to Anna, on 5 June 1924, in Brooklyn
She was born 2 May 1900 in Barcelona, Italy.

I would have done research on the messina line not the Mirto, Calaberia line. That would have taken me nowhere. I guess you can't make any assumptions in this game. Thank you again!
