My Italian mother's brother, my uncle, was a partisan in WW2. He died in 1946 (I think) of TB due to the damp conditions he fought in. Im sure my mum told me he was based up in the mountains, but my brother thinks he was based in Belluno.
Im sure as a child I was taking to somewhere in Trieste/Belluno/Veneto to see a place where the partisans were remembered for their contribution.
Any ideas where it may of been, sorry about the scant information! Also where can I find out more about the branch of freedom fighters he as with?
Thank you.
