DE JUDICIBUS in Australia

Postby dejudicibus » 04 Dec 2005, 23:52

If you go to http://www.dejudicibus.it/genealogia/, click on DE JUDICIBUS coat of arms, then onto Australia label, you will see a individual who emigrated in Australia at the beginning of last century. I am wondering if it is still possible to find any descendant...

Most of my researches are usually focused on the XII-XIV century, but now I am also a little bit curious about modern relatives...

Hi Dario,

By your last name I'm assuming that your ancestors stem from Molfetta. I live in New Jersey, USA (my parents were born in Molfetta) but have many cousins in Australia and from my understanding the main population of molfettese immigrants went to two cities Fremantle/Perth and Port Pirie

Although they do have a feast for la madonna dei Martiri in 5 cities, the two previously mentioned and also in Sydney, Tuncurry and Adelaide

p.s.
I noticed the name Tom Stiglmayer as the person who helped transcribe some of the information. (Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild) What a truly wonderful person he is. Have you been in contact with him?

A am a member here in Adelaide Australia of SA Genealogy & Heraldry Society. Will be happy to check our library records when I next go (let me know what your priority is). From what I can see online from home, Sergio De Judicibus died South Australia 16 Sept 1994. Maria De Judicibus has death notice in local paper here 18 March 2003. Also see in National Archives a Domenico De Judicibus arriving Adelaide 1932 (readmission) and a Michele De Judicibus in Adelaie 1942. Hope this is of help.

Well, I kept in contact with Mauro Lucio de Judicibus, nephew of Sergio. He told me that his uncle died in 1991... Maybe he is another Sergio? It was a common name in my family, as well as Corrado and Domenico.
