Surname Help Changed to De Caro

Grandfather came here 1920 + or -, changed surname to De Caro. Currently trying to determine original name. Any tips or hints would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try to find your ancestor on the 1930 census. That will give you an immigration year and naturalizatiion status.

If ancestor came through Ellis Island you can always search that site for them. Many other ports are indexed on ancestry.com (this is a subscription site, but free at many libraries and family history centers)

If you can provide more information, first name, spouse's name, children, ages, city/county they lived in.......perhaps further info could be found.
