When requesting microfilms from the LDS and you ask for the reels of Nati, Morti etc..are these reels specifically of the certificates or the more detailed atti di nascita/atti di morti? Does anyone know?

Thanks

Michael

Those are atti (acts) not certificati (certificates).
Acts tell more than a certificate.
In a birth act you find name of baby, name-age-job of father, name-age of mother, name and age of obstetrician, place of birth (address) and names of witnesses.
Same details on atto di morte or atto di matrimonio

Dear Michael

I have just had my first look at some 1823-1849 atto di nascita microfilm. It has been a bit hard to understand and some of the ink from the pages previous can seep through to the other page. I am in no way fluent in Italian but was lucky to stumble across a web site that had an English translation for the atto di nascita ..... it has made my search easier. Now I can understand what I am looking at. They are so full of information they are great!

Regards Tina
