Census, Military, Hospital, Notary Records

Postby maple62 » 18 Jan 2006, 22:57

Hi,

Trying to obtain these types of records are not ones I've considered yet. I must admit, I've only been concentrating on the LDS records...

Which/what/how is the best way to start on these records?

Is there a central database, or more like the Stato Civile records where they are all regionalised? My research is centered around the commune of San Mauro Forte, Matera.

Thanks

Michael

these kind of records (if any) can be found at

Archivio di Stato
Via T. Stigliani,25
Matera - Italy

http://archivi.beniculturali.it/UCBAWEB ... ome=MATERA

These are all the records you can find inside Archivio di Stato di Matera

I hope it helps, bye Riccardo
