Giulianova

Postby londicar » 03 May 2006, 06:05

My grandfather, Ulderico DiCarlo, grandmother, Anna Brezano DiCarlo, my uncle Joseph DiCarlo, came to Newark NJ. in 1914 from Giulianova. My grandmother was pregnant with child during this vovage. My father, Gaetano DiCarlo was born in Newark right after they arrived. I recently got my father's birthcertificate and he was named Gaetano Giussepe Arteuro DiCarlo and I had always known him as Gaetano Joseph DiCarlo(and of course DAD). The family became naturalized in November of 1921. I have in the past met my father's cousins in Sulmona IT, and those living here. All are now deceased(including my father) and I want to know more about the family and how to obtain dual citizenship, if I am eligable.

Any insight on the what to do next? I am yearning to learn about my family's heritage.

Hi There,

I believe because your Dad naturalized before you wer born, you may not be able to obtain dual citizenship through him..

mler, a member here would be able to help you better. Maybe you could PM him and ask his opinion?

Hi,

Nuccia & wldspirit provided you information & sites about obtaining Italian citizenship.
