Translation Help

Postby Essgee » 11 May 2006, 03:16

Once again, begging you fine people to help with a word in a record:

and quoting: "....abitazione posta in questo Comune nella Parocchia di San Martino del Piano Vocabolo Mossole----".

What is the context of the word Vocabolo? Does it refer to the word Mossole as a description like Mossole Street? Or something like that.......

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time... Susan

Vocabolo means word.
In this context: " House located in this town within the parish of San Martino del Piano- Under the word Mossole"

So I guess that is under the "street" sign named Mossole? Would this be correct?

Knew that it meant word, but couldn't make it make sense. Your translation appears to do just that. Thank you so very much for your time. Much appreciated! I will send your information along to the people who needed to understand that line in the records.

Thanks, once again.......Susan

Hi Suanj.....

It is not a record I have, but just a line E-mailed to me by a friend...I am not even sure of the entire context of the record. But I will ask for a copy of the record and see if I can get it to you......may take a week or so....

Will see what I can do.....have a great day! Susan
