Acri Riccio

Postby white244 » 30 May 2006, 07:39

I am looking for the line of Giuseppe Saverio Acri Riccio born April 27, 1875 in Cariati, Cosenza, Italy and I think died on Sep 24, 1918. I only have the names of his parents which were Francesco Acri and Serafina Riccio. If anyone has any information that may be even remotely pertinent please contact me or post a reply. Thanks in advance.

Hi white244,

The LDS Church has filmed the vital records for the town of Cariati from 1809-1910.

Here is the link for the available films.

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... Cariati+++

And here is a link to locate your LDS-Family History Center
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... et_fhc.asp

You rent the films @ your local FHC for abt. $5.50/5.75 for abt. a month (this can be renewed) and when the films come in from SLC, Utah, you can view and copy the vital records you need from the film at the FHC.

Hope this helps.

It's me again.

I just realized that the Italian form letter are requests for certificates. You will want to request her estratto di nascita (birth extract) which will have more information than the certificate.

JCSM -

Do you know if LDS has also filmed the records for Terravecchia, which is just up the road from Cariati?

If so, do you have a link into the LDS for these films as well?

Thank you.
