Laurienzo and Spuzzillo from Matrice, Campo Basso

Postby sumoflam » 02 Jun 2006, 20:37

Hello. I am new to this board and currently doing family research on the Laurienzo and Spuzzillo family names from Matrice in Campo Basso. I have the ship manifest documentation for Carmine (Nick) Laurienzo, who migrated to the United States (to Cleveland, OH). He arrived in Boston, MA on the SS Cretic on 28 Feb 1921 and it shows on the record that his wife did not come at that time. She did later join him.

Anyway, I am looking for his parents and family. I would like to see if I can track down a marriage date in Matrice as well as where they were married.

If there is anyone that can advise me, I would appreciate it.

Thank you
David Kravetz

For marriage record as all civil records you can write in:

Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza dei Caduti n. 34
86030 Matrice(CB)
Italy

fax: + 39 0874 453131

the email:

comune @ comune.matrice.cb.it ( NO SPACES please) what is necessary for to ask the marriage record, is to know the birthdate or almost the birthyear......... currently no Laurienzo people living in Matrice, and in all campobasso province are only 4 persons:

Suanj: Thanks for the information. I think that will be helpful. Yes, I did look and noticed that there are only 4 Laurienzo names in the White Pages.

I will send my request to the email you provided. I hope that they can understand English.

Gracie,
David
