Gambino surname--what it means?

Postby GreggambinoPA62 » 27 Jun 2006, 08:33

Hello, I was wondering what my family last name means. My brother told me Gambino means "big heart" but he has no proof. Would anyone know the name’s meaning or of a place where I could find out. My grandfather was from Sicily.
