Italian Valentines?

Postby VitoV » 13 Jul 2006, 23:20

My family has always told me that our people were from Northern Italy. I have not been able to find anything on my own that reinforces this. I am not doubting, just interested in our past. Any help any of you can provide is greatly appreciated!

The name is most likely a variation......have you tried to pull any records to confirm place of origin, ship manifest?

I found some Valentine's in Mendocino, California who were originally from Dueville, Vicenza, Italy which is in the North between Milano and Venezia.

Where did your anscestors emigrate to? New York? Connecticut?

With a little more info I may be able to help you.

By providing 1st names, birth years, when they came to the US & where they settled, we maybe able to help find their town of origin in Italy. Provide as much info as you can, so we can look for the correct records for the families.

What US records do you have for your Valentine Family?
