Agneta, Giuseppe

Postby woodcuts » 25 Jul 2006, 09:02

Everyone was SO helpful finding my father's family in the census by using variations on the spelling of Agneta that I believe your collective expertise will provide the answer again.
My grandfather, shown above, arrived Apr 07, 1904, Ship: Roma, Line 22, Page 0313, Group 27 on Ellis Island site. Question: could someone look up the manifest and tell me the name of the "friend" in Jersey City that he went to? Looks as though first name is Antonio D..............? THANK YOU in Advance.

Hi Kathy, no problem...

Is D'Alessandro a "paesano" name? Family name?

Nuccia, THANK YOU. I'm slow on this during the summer. We do haying/farming and I only hit the 'genealogy button' when passing through the house for food or water :-) THANK YOU for looking.
It is interesting that Giuseppe (my grandfather) originally went to NJ. The first child, Angelina Sept 17 1907 - ?, of himself and Maria Mongello was born in West Hoboken NJ according to her naturalization application. The others (six) in NYC.
