Thank you I don't think that is him , His wife came to America after him on this ship Mendoza on April 19 1912 under her maiden name Carmine Barletta she is traveling with her son Vincenzo Casazza and daughter Maddalena C azzaza and her husband Pasquale Carpentieri, I was able to get my great grandmother death certificate she dies in 1932 and she was in America for 20 years, Antonio (great grandfather) was still alive. He is not buried with my great grandmother, so he might of went back to Italy, I cant find his manifest coming to America, I know that in 1930 they lived in Mt Vernon Ny, But I belived when they first came to Amercia they lived in Bronx, New York,. his name again is Antonio Casazza married to Carmine Barletta they are from San Nazzaro. thanks again.

DebraRose,
- do you have any documents from the Bronx?

Not uncommon for people to live with their middlenames...

Maria,
It appears your manifest find may answer some questions!
It seemed unlikely that there were only two children if Antonio
and Carmina were married abt 1885 (edit)
Great find.
and Mary's 1888 manifest find may have more clues - if the family
made multiple trips..

I was more impressed that we both posted at the same time and did not duplicate the info...

I am with you here.... the name Domenicantonio is certainly a possibility...

To say the name Domenicantonio is quite the mouthful...

"Anto" is much easier... seen this in my own family...

We really do need a list of the whole family...

I do hope the address of 56 S. High Street was the same address Domenicantonio lived at in 1910...

Nuccia's census record ... (nice find  ) ! Gazzara??
Casazza... Gazazza ... Casarra... not an easy surname to work with...

mjones ( Mary ) Welcome aboard! Nice to see you helping out :P

Mary, Maria, Nuccia,
What a team! :D
Hope we have the correct family - if not, there are a lot
of Casazza's in both Mt Vernon and NY.
Noticed a poster earlier (on rootsweb?) looking for info on
Maddalena Casazza Carpentieri.
Tomorrow back at the 1910 census - unless it's found before
then!
