I know he married Virginia Alice Burns in West Virginia where he lived until he died in 1961 after coming to the US. I believe they married in 1921. She only lived until I was about 5 and there son louis tobia my grandfather is already dead and my dad dosent know anything

Calatafimi is in the province of Trapani, Sicily.
Your ancestors left from port of Palermo, Sicily.
Montefiascone is in the province of Viterbo, near Rome,region of Lazio.

Louis Curtis Tobia

Louis Curtis Tobia, 81, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at his home.

He was retired from the Kroger Warehouse with 38 years of service. Mr. Tobia was a member of the New Horizon Assembly of God and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Frances Tobia; sons, Randy Ray Tobia and his wife, Brenda of Charleston, Rickey Lee Tobia and his wife, Cathy of Cross Lanes; brothers, Paul Tobia of Tornado, Billy Ray Tobia and Manford Tobia of Massachusetts, Romie Tobia of Florida; sisters, Naomi Lilly of Beckley and Sylvia; grandchildren, Scotty Tobia of Indiana, Robby Tobia of Bluefield, Tammy Tobia of Charleston, Josh and Matthew Bucklen of Cross Lanes; great-grandchildren, Easton Tobia of Indian, Nathanael Tobia of Bluefield, Curtis, Michael, Destiny and Jasmine Tobia of Charleston, Carol Ann Pickens of Charleston.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Jack Henry officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be at Grandview Memorial Park.
