Information on Michael Angelo Barone

Postby Topper » 18 Oct 2006, 10:19

Michael used the name Angelo.
Born 11/22/1861 in Italy
Arrived in New York 4/3/1883 according to his application for Naturalization
Lived in Shenango Township; Lawrence County; New Castle, Pa
Married Carolina (Carlina) D'Antonio 10/29/1892
Angelo Died 9/9/1905
Carolina died 10/5/1905

I have all their children's names, but have no more information about my grandfather Michael Angelo Barone. Where he was born in Italy? Brothers? Sisters? Ships name and manifest?

I have reached a stalmate regarding any information about him since their children were orphaned at an early age and all are gone now.

The male children went by the last name Barr. I really dont know why, perhaps to overcome the bigotry of the times against Italian and Italian-Americans.
Thanks, Vince

Have you tried checking with the local parishes in the area of where they lived for any records??

Hi Vince,

You posted twice...

You may want to delete one just so that if you get any responses it will stay all in one thread. :D
