Looking for relatives of my grandfather

Postby tteodorescu » 21 Nov 2006, 03:53

My grandfather - Errico Traverso immigrated to US, via Genova through Ellis Island to Reno, NV in 1920. He was born 1915. He immigrated with the Ferretto Family who were guardians. His parents were killed in the world war I. I want to find other relatives.

I think you will have to supply more information. Do you know if other relatives of his immigrated before or after he did? Do you know the town where he was born? Was it Genova or is that the port of departure? Where were his parents born? What were their names? Is what you stated above all you know?

For starters, here is the manifest mentioned above:
page 1:

page 2:

http://ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup_wei ... &line=0001

According to this manifest he leaves his Aunt Maria Rosasco in Italy,
and joins his step father Bartolomeo Rosasco in Reno Nevada.

Information on Neirone, you can send for a request for the birth act of Errico...email and fax is listed, request should be in Italian:

a neat website with further info as well as the mention of the surname
ROSASCO: scroll thru the entire site, they have done alot of research and have many sources listed. Some great pics as well...
