Yes! Thank you! I had to step away for a minute wow! Yes, Tony would be Anthony, and Frankie - The boys, Daniele, Ciriaco and Gaetano had to change their names because at school nobody could pronounce them! The other boy would be George. Rosie, is my great grandmother Rosina!

cassandra..

Am having a bit of trouble with my computer tonight but I've managed to write most of this down and will email you with what I have. Let me make sure its all as accurate as I can get it before sending it. Remember though, you will still need to verify all info is correct with documentation if you really want to pursue it, otherwise its only second hand info from the internet.

Cassandra1 wrote:She settled in Des Moines, Iowa. On the Ellis Island record she states that she will be taking a job as a housekeeper and staying with her sister Maria. But I've looked everywhere and I can't find anything else about her or anyone else in my family. I don't know if her first husband stayed in Italy or came back. I believe her last husband's last name was Orlando, but I don't know how many times she was married, if it was twice or 3 times. Another of her husbands was a Marturello/Martorello I think.
In this ship's manifest, she declared that the only italian contact in Belvedere is Maria sister,

in the second page Francesco Martorello is listed as husband

for any records you can look up the Mormon'ss microfilms abt Belvedere Marittimo

abt the Francesco parents, are 2 martorello families emigrated in Brazil:

Nome Sobrenome Parentesco Ano Nacionalidade
AMALIA - FILHA 9/27/1891 ITALIANA (daughter)
DOMILCI - FILHO 9/27/1891 ITALIANA (son)
GIOV. MARTORELLO MARIDO 9/27/1891 ITALIANA ( head)
ROSA - ESPOSA 9/27/1891 ITALIANA (wife)
---------------------------------------------
Nome Sobrenome Parentesco Ano Nacionalidade
ADELINA - F 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (daughter)
ANTONIO - F 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (son)
CHERUBINA - F 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (daughter)
DOMENICO MARTORELLO CF 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (head)
DONATO - F 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (son)
MARIA - M 6/18/1895 ITALIANOS (wife)
---------------------------------------------------

and 13 Martorello in Argentina:

MARTORELLO ANNA

MARTORELLO ANTO.

MARTORELLO CIRIACO

MARTORELLO EGIDIO

MARTORELLO FILOMENA

MARTORELLO FRANCESCO

MARTORELLO FRANCO

MARTORELLO GIOVANNI

MARTORELLO GIULIA

MARTORELLO MARIA

MARTORELLO NICOLA

MARTORELLO ROSARIA

MARTORELLO ROSINA

maybe some first names of this emigrated person can remember to you something... regards, suanj
