Welcome to ItalianGenealogy!!

Do you know from where he originated from? In order to research Italian records you must know the exact town of origin. From that point you have the option of researching from microfilmed records, if the town has been microfilmed by the Lds, or writing to Italy.

Manifest of Rosina and children:

http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3580/rosinavz6.jpg

1930 United States Federal Census
Name: Louis Moreli
Home in 1930: Sharpsburg, Allegheny, Pennsylvania
Age: 6
Estimated birth year: abt 1924
Relation to Head of House: Son
Father's name: Clement
Mother's name: Rose
Household Members: Name Age
Clement Moreli 33
Rose Moreli 33
Charles Moreli 8
Louis Moreli 6

This census list immigration for Clemente as 1923, and for Rose and children as 1929.....if you can confirm these findings, I think we have the town of origin!!

These are my ancestors. The 1930 us census info is mostly correct. Morelli is spelled wrong on the census record. This information though is correct. If you have further information that would be great. Our family has been searching for so long. Her father Charles passed away when she was 18 but she only had written contact with him since the age of 13 because of work issues.

First, Happy New Year!!

This is the website for the town from which your ancestors originated, according to the manifest found.

http://www.sanpietroinguarano.net/

if you do not understand Italian, you can use the following translation site,
not the best translation mind you....but good enough to get the general idea of what it is your reading.....

The Later Day Saints has microfilmed the civil registrations of San Pietro,
these include birth, marriage and death records covering 1770 thru 1910.
By researching these records you will be able to trace Clemente and Rosina's family history. However, any documentation on the children, or the marriage between the parents, would require a request sent to Italy.

Here is the second page of Clemente's manifest, he is joining his brother
Francesco:

Francesco's manifest:
page 2:
http://ellisisland.org/EIFile/popup_wei ... &line=0015
page 1:

Francesco is joining cousin Pietro ?? in Sharpsburg and leaves his father Pasquale Morelli in San Pietro.

*need a second opinion as to the last name of the cousin!!*

Charles' line kind of vanished b/c his marriage was not excepted by his family. He married my grandmother secretly in West VA. It was not until the family found out when she was pregnant that they had a wedding. Thank you so much for your help. This means so much to me and my mother. :P

By accident i happen to find this page. It's so very interesting because my father who's last name was Ferraro, his mother was a Morelli. Louis and Pasquale (Charles) were his cousins. He was also related to Fred and Frank and they owned a butcher shop in Sharpsburg...My sister and i would affectionatly call Fred, "uncle Fred" and Frank, "uncle Frank. Not sure if Fred was married, but his brother Frank was married to a woman i think her name was Adeline.
I remember Louis was married to Kitty Mae and i can't remember Charles wife's name but i do remember she had blonde hair. I think she was Polish.
When i was a little girl i remember Charles and Louis's mother Rosina would often visit my mother. "Commadre" Rosina, as my sister and i would repectfully call her was a slight built woman, always wore her hair pulled back in a bun and loved to talk...Rosina also had a daughter. Her name was Rosella but i don't remember much about her. I would love to go with my mother to Visit "Commadre" Rosina because Louis and Kitty Mae lived upstairs and i would play with their two daughters. Rosie and Laurie. They were so sweet and we all got along so well. I was deeply saddened when i found out that a few years ago Rosie was killed in an automobile accident.
I think my grandmother Rose Morelli Ferraro may have been Louis, Charles and Rosella's aunt or great aunt.
