Looking for any iformation on Maciocia family Isola del Liri

Postby mmaciocia » 12 Feb 2007, 21:36

Hi,
am looking for any information on Maciocia family originating from Frosinone province, towns of Isola del Liri and Sora.
Also interest in Caringi, Capobianco, Peticca, Scala and di Palma from same area who are also related through marriage to Maciocia members I am trying to trace.

My great grandfather Antonio Vincenzo Maciocia was married to Angela Caringi, was born about 1873, died 1942 in Italy, lived in Isola till he was 30, tried living in the US but ultimately moved to Scotland where he moved his family, before moving back to Italy and Isola in the 1930's.

Would also love to hear from anyone who has traced the origins of the Maciocia name.

Yes, he was travelling to meet with his cousin - a Pettica, who legend has was a locomotive driver in Pittsburg.

Had seen this at Ellis Island.
thanks for the reply.

You're welcome. I'm sorry I wasn't able to turn up anything more for you. Have you checked Scottish records as well? This site might help...

http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

I would pm member emmy...I believe she is from Scotland and may have done some research from Sora and surrounding areas. Maybe she can help you, or at least offer some advice.

Hope this helps.
