Rinella/Scalia/Mancuso/Bonfiglio

Postby Jsks916 » 16 Feb 2007, 15:38

Anyone know anything about Anthony Rinella? Came from Termini Imerese also.
Bonfiglio is also a family name. Antonino and Antonio - brothers, of course in US that's Tony for both! Came to Akron from New York? I believe Antonio died in about 1942 and was married to Rose Rinella.
Anthony Rinella was her father.
Thanks all!! :D

Not sure. The one that died around 1941 would be Antonio Bonfiglio not Rinella that I know of. There was a baby Anthony Rinella probably around that time, but I believe he died as an infant of Leukemia.

Can't see them making that kind of mistake on the record!

Thanks. I'm sure there is/was Anthony Rinella and Anthony Bonfiglio - many of them! The Tony Bonfiglio for 5 Oct 1943 Summit sound like Rose Rinella's first husband. The timeline would be correct. Her third son was born in 1940 and he was about 3 when his father died. Rose then married Orlen Griffin from Kentucky. The Griffin family I have traced back to early 1700's. The Rinella side is giving me a harder time!
Thanks for your help.

You're welcome.

Have you ordered any of the Termini Imerese films?

No, I've never ordered films. If it takes money I really can't afford to do that right now. But thanks for all the info!

A wonderfully helpful lady has a Termini site where she has extracted and made available thousands or birth marriage and death records.

I think she requires some sort of nominal entry fee but look at all the work she has done!!

here is the link ---> http://www.termini-imerese.org/DBSearch.html

Email her perhaps, she is the leading expert I think in the United States on this Sicilian town and it's people.

Much luck to you!

Jim

Thanks Jim.
I happen to notice your last name - Bianco? Another mystery we have is 3 aunts of mine. They were actually my mother's (Rose Rinella) cousins that my grandmother (Chiara, Catherine Mansuca Rinella) adopted because their parents died when they were very young. They are Martha Lobianco, Ida Lobianco and Katherine Lobianco. I understand their father's name was Peter, but they don't remember anything. It would have had to have happened before 1930. So they are not really aunts but cousins, however, we always called them aunts since they were my mother's age.
