Re: Need help locating a ship manifest
Thank you guys for all of your input. It looks like these three manifests are indeed correct. It appears that they were all naturalized according to the 1930 census. Maybe I'll take a trip to the NARA archives and look up their naturalization papers to confirm birth places. I'll keep you guys posted. Thank you again

Valarie, Thanks.
Would like to find his WWI and/or WWII Draft registration card(s). Found one for Giuseppe Croce, yob 1881, wife Francesca, in Philly, but don't believe it's the correct Giuseppe. Correct birth year is likely 1883/1884 based on ship manifest and census data. Likewise, the birthplaces of his children on the 1920 census would seem to indicate he was in DC or NJ 1917/1918 not PA.
JimmySal,
Both the 1920 and 1930 census records show your ggrandfather was a crossing watchman for the railroad. Before electric automatic signals, grade crossings were protected by a watchman who manually lowered the gates or for crossings without gates, he "flagged" the crossing holding a sign with large letters spelling STOP during the day or by waving a red lantern at night. I'm pretty sure the crossings in Camden were the gate type, and that the crossing watchmen were in shanties or towers. See the linked pictures for examples. If you're interested, go to mapquest and type in the address 2311 Carman St (your ggrandparents home address), Camden NJ and take a look at the map. You'll see railroad tracks going from the SW to the NE intersecting a number of roads. He may have worked at one of those crossings.
