Yes, this would appear to be Rosaria Merola (nee Stanziola) who was married to (Samuel or Sabato or Sabbat) Merola

Thanks for all this great informaton - I will have to get in touch with some of my family members to try to verify all this great info.

Again, a sincere thanks for your assistance.

a census sheet is looked up by address?

630 Garfield Street, Hazleton is where my mother grew up. Family name is DiBlasi - later changed (for some unknown reason) to DeBlass

Ken, that would be terrific if we could search by address.
The addresses I listed from the census weren't part of the
transcription process (so they aren't 'searchable').
We can zero in on an Enumeration District, but finding family
by only the address would be a page by page project.

John DiBlasi of San Mauro
wife's name is Anna Marisicano
(and frankly I didnt even know he came to the US...
I will attempt to verify).
One of his children would be Tommaso DiBlasi
and I have his passenger record from Ellis Island
but don't know how to create a link as you did above.
He arrived 7/29/12 and settled in Hazleton PA,
was born Aug, 1895 (lived in San Mauro La Bruca)
and died in Hazleton, PA 5/22/76.

Ken,
Small world. My cousin's husband Genaro Frask (Frasca) lived with his family at 649 Garfield in Hazelton from the mid 1920s till they were married after the Second World War.

Sidebar for Valarie--If you get a chance, I could use your help on the Mattera thread locating Franceso/Frank Longo's 1910 and 1900 census records to determine his parents' names--Baba Luigi.

Kenny

Glad you're finding all this info useful. My internet has been down most of the day so I'm just getting around to checking out the posts. Need to check on the kids and start dinner now but I will try and help a bit later.

Yes, that is my grandfather, and with that posting of his registration card, I just learned of a another residence he had in Hazleton. Thank you.

And that 1930 census shows his family to date (3 more children were born after 1930)

Thank you!

Possible Mauro could be the brother mentioned
on Tommaso's manifest?
1920 census, only found 1 candidate so far.
Everything is close except Tommaso's name!
I'll post it so you can take a look.

The 1920 census shows his brother and family.

The '42 Registration Card looks correct.

And Mauro was a brother and Aneillo most likely is as well.
