Burials in Sicily

Postby Marlena » 03 Jun 2007, 06:59

According to the 1908 manifest http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx= ... 03882808we for my great-great-grandmother Salvatora Vallelunga she was about 68 y/o when she came to California. Since I can't find her death or burial records here in California I was wondering if she would be buried in Sicily under her maiden name,Vallelunga, or her married name DiMatteo? What is the custom?
Thanks as always, Marlene
