Catasto Onciario 1754

Postby JamesBianco » 20 Jun 2007, 15:10

Hello, can anyone tell me what this is? It looks like some sort of town census for Crispano (NA) from 1754. Do these exist for other towns? What actually are they? The information is very detailed. I am not back before 1780 in Crispano, but if I was!!! wow.

Thanks!

Jim

Its a census written in the fashion of a "Doomsday Book." Consider yourself lucky that your town of research has posted the info online.

Thank you very much for that information, I wonder how often (and how recent) these come forward. The LDS church hasn't filmed the province of Napoli so I struggle to find information on Crispano.
