Would depend on the circumstances......can you be more specific?

Well I can always find first names and married names on like ancestry.com. but have a hard time finding out great grand mothers maiden names. After a few generations nobody knows a maiden name. :D Just wondering if there is a easier way to do it

By pulling as many records as you can on each ancestor.....working your way backwards from the death, to marriage and then to birth.

I have always found death records and obituaries usually list the maiden names as well as the parents.
