Thank you so much for the try. Not the same family.
Mother Marie Virzi gave birth in 1901 here in the US. So her arrival would be prior to that. I have check all ports with no luck. Even trying her maiden name of Rescigno. All the census records I have say she arrived about 1900.

Can you give a little more info. Did Giuseppi and his wife travel together?
Do you have any idea of birthdates? Names of children? do you have any census info?

Maria Angelina Rescigno married Guiseppe (Joseph) Virzi in Gabes, Tunisia. There marriage is verified by the Catholic marriages in Tunisia)

http://debono.club.fr/mariagestunisie/F67.html

They had 5 children (verified by the Catholic Baptisms in Tunisia).

Christina
Angelina
Mary Beatrice
Genevieve
Frank

After arrival in the US they had 3 more
Rosalie
Anthony
Sam
As shown in the 1910 Census and 1920. Marie by 1920 had been admitted to a state hospital where she later died in 1944

The family scattered. I found Joseph in California with some of his sons. There is another Virzi family in California but don't know if they are related in anyway.

So I keep digging. I have sent a request to Cook County Illinois for a death certificate on Marie to be absolutely sure and not some family story.

Anything you can find would be appreciated.
