Grazie infinite, many thanks Biff! :D
But unfortunately, it's not my grandfather's census...
By two years I'm looking for his 1920 census but I've no luck!

Name: Nicolini Gio Batta
Birth date: 12 oct 1892
Birthplace Italy
Arrival in USA 16 Apr 1913 (I've the Ellis manifest)
WWI Draft Registration card (5 Jun 1917 In Napa County - CA. Listed as Nicolini Gio Balla)
He was Single
He came back to Italy in 1926/1927.... and that's why I am :D
I know that he spent his 13 years in America in California (like farmer in Calistoga and St. Helena) and Nevada (as a Miner in Unionville, Pershing, Nevada)...
I've have some sending money receipts to his family here in Italy and these are the Addresses he gave:
1918: Box 245 - St. Helena (CA)
from 1918 to 1921 without address but from a bank in San Francisco...
1923: Box 151 Calistoga (CA)
Jul 1925: Box 151 Calistoga (CA)
Nov 1925: Floriston (CA)
1926: The last one: See the picture, I can't understand the address....

However I have another receipt date Apr 1920 from a Bank of San Francisco.....

In dec 1920 it seems he received a postcard in Unionville, Pershing, Nevada:

I can't find in old mines records the name of that Company.... (Sunset/Suxxet?)

Why I can't find his 1920 census? I've tried with many mispelled names and surnames but... nothing!

Someone can help???
Grazie ....
Laura

Mining companies went out of business, or were sold often. Finding records sometimes is difficult. You MIGHT be able to find the articles of incorporation in the state archives. Also, try contacting the local libraries, historical societies and genealogical societies in that area. I am sure they willbe a help.

I found that stock certificate by googling "Sunset Mining company

Good luck
