Favorito is a variation of FAVA which is found in Italy in the north Liguria, Lombardia and Emiliar Romagna and in Sicily in greater numbers. The name relates to the production of Beans and the occupations surrouinding bean agriculture, menus etc. In Calabra there are few only 15 Favorito so that it must have been a localized name since Favorito is very limited in numbers.
