Maniscalco

Postby mcguiredem_1 » 18 Nov 2007, 20:36

I am searching for information on my granfather Francesco Maniscalco born in Palermo, Italy 1880. He had a brother Angelo, (quite a bit older) and a sister Josephine. I would like to find out his parents names and how to go about getting a birth certificate. He and his brother and sister came to the United States in 1903.

Possible manifest for Angelo and Giovanna, but no Francesco. However, they are meeting a brother Maniscalco on NY, but I can't make out the first name. Doesn't look like Francesco.

Hi!
Did the 1880 birth & 1903 immigration dates come from

Have you found Francesco's manifest?

Thanks! vj

vj,

You posted Angelo's 1930 New Jersey census. Josephine is living with him and his family. If you post Francesco's, I'll check it against a couple of manifests I found.

ps. Calcedonio is a new one on me. I was thinking Carloantonio, but I knew it had too many letters!

Birth date may be 1881 if WWI Card is correct ...

Hi mcguiredem_1

When you say Palermo - do you know if it's Palermo the province or if it's Palermo the city within the province of Palermo? Was trying to look at the LDS films that you might like to order and view to find the birth acts and the only records for Palermo would be for the city of...
