any Salvos from Giusvalla?

Postby vintagegamer » 17 Dec 2007, 03:58

Hello all,

I'm a descendant of Giovanni J Salvo and Ernest P Salvo, who came from Giusvalla Savona Italy in the early 1900s to the US. They lived out their lives in Wilmington, DE.

I am also the godson of Theresa Tortarolo Angelone, whose family also came from the same region.

If anyone has any details regarding family tree info for either of these families, I would like to hear from you!

:D Google is one of my favorite first steps too , especially the
‘news‘ option - their news archives can be quite rewarding!

Another free source of possible compiled family information
is the Rootsweb WorldConnect Project
Some of the information submitted is very well documented and
can help with your own search for resources and records for
your family.

I tried googling but it didn't really help me out too much. Thank you however for the suggestion.

Regards,

Dear Vintagegamer there are more than 1000 references to Salvo family genealogy, Savona Italy as title in Google.com... You can alter the title to accomodate ideas that may spring to mind about family trees but from the first few pages it seems fruitful for Salvo researching. =Peter=

Jim, sounds great!
Other than misbris' 1910 manifest, let us know if you're missing any other records.
We'll be happy to help when you're ready.

My grandmother's name was Albina Teresa Piuma, not Perrone, however they did know Perrone's so maybe something got mixed up during the documentation process?

No apologies needed Val, you're being a big help- when I said "something got mixed up", I was thinking it was by the drafters of the docs, wasn't meaning you! :D
