looking for ancestors in Sicily

Postby souheila » 30 Dec 2007, 19:15

Hello everybody,

I'm new on the site, and I hope I will find what I'm looking for a year.
I live in France near Paris and my origins are in Sicily.
I give you names and cities my relatives came from:

DI NOTO Vincenzo Nonce (born in 1889 in Montelepre)
son of : DI NOTO Giuseppe and TUMMINELLI Marguerita

married with:

COPPOLA Antonina (born in 1889 in Paceco)
daughter of COPPOLA Antonio and ?? Maria-Antonietta

LOMONACO Vincenzo (born in 1889 in San Giuseppe Jato)
son of LOMONACO Giacamo and TUMINELLI Giuspeppa

married with:

CORTESE Santa (born in 1895 in Vicari)
daughter of CORTESE Salvatore and MONTAGNINO Teresa

Maybe somebody is from my family??

Do you know where I could find birth, marriages and death certificates???

Waiting for your answers.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

The Family History Center has the microfilm for all of the places mention. For most they have civil registrations, church records and census info. Here is the link to get you started.

If you need more help on how to go about ordering records, let us know.

Happy New Year!

Did you ever find anything regarding the name Tomminelli? My great-grandmother was Maria Tomminelli, born in Sicily in 1888.

Hello, do you know if any of your relatives moved to america. I know of a Michael Cortese that lives in New Jersey USA.

Just a thought.
