Luigi Ferraro, San Donato di Ninea

Postby Iannitelli » 07 Jan 2008, 16:01

Hello, I hope this is a public posting. sorry if not.
Anyhow, I'm Jimmy from Greenwood, Ind. and I have been to San Donato 3 time visiting my Iannitelli relatives. I would like to find out something about my Ferraro relatives over there.
My Grandfather, Antonio Ferraro, and his sister, Domenica, came to the USA and settled in Ind in 1912. There parents, Pasquale Ferraro and Caterina Iannuzzi, both died very young and the siblings were raised by their uncle, Luigi Ferraro, in San Donato until they came over in 1912.
Is there a way to find out anything about a Luigi Ferraro who had a brother named Pasquale? I'm pretty sure Luigi died around 1950.
Thx jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

Here is the link so you can find your nearest Family History Center (FHC)
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library ... et_fhc.asp

I've provided the link for LDS microfilms for San Donato di Ninea. It covers 1809 through 1910 and includes birth acts, death and marriages.
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library ... o+civile++

Write down the film numbers you'd like to view, go to your FHC and order. The films cost about $5.50 USD per film and take about 4 weeks to arrive.

You should be able to find your grandfather and his sisters birth act, their parents marriage banns and birth acts and any other siblings they may have had.

If you need any help just let us know.

Regards,
Elizabeth

Hi Jimmy,

Here is a link for form letters that you can send to the appropriate office in
San Donato di Ninea. You can request birth, death, marriage etc.

http://www.circolocalabrese.org/resourc ... /index.asp

All you have to do is fill in the blanks and it will be translated into Italian for you.

I'm trying to find the addreess for you, but not having much luck.
