Juilia Montagna

Postby bnorman » 04 Feb 2008, 00:21

Hi Y'all,
Searching for info on ggrandmother Juilia Montagna, have May 1905 marriage record from LDS that lists from Italy, parents Georgio and Elizabeth Bonnine. My ggrandfather, Bernardino Fratoddi, arrived on the Steamship Lahn in NY 1902, but she was not aboard. He was from Ladispoli. I don't know if she came alone or with parents, or if they knew each other before coming to US. Any suggestions for further research much appreciated, unable to find any other records for her.

Thanks

Please clarify maiden name? If her father was bonnine who is Montagna? Julia is spelled GIULIA in italian language. Best we get the complete stroy so we can get to the bottom of this. =Peter=

Whoops, sorry, I should have been clearer on the name. The last name is Montagna, I assume the Bonnine would be Elizabeth's (her mother's)maiden name?

And YES!!! It looks as if this could very well be her. I had no idea the first name would be spelled differently. Thank you so VERY much for your help.

This is so wonderful!! Thanks so much Biff, Have had a hard time tracking them in the census . And yes, they did all end up in Birmingham, AL. Was the 1910 in Memphis TN? I could make out Memphis City, but not the county.

Thanks also for the death dates, I did not have either. Now I can order death certificates.

Does Esperialesto translate to anything?

Thanks for all your time!!

Happy to have been of some help.

Yes, the 1910 census was for Memphis, Shelby county, Tennessee.

Not sure how Esperialesto was named. Anyone else have any ideas??
