Ferdinand Anibile Chiaramonti

Postby ritaf » 13 Feb 2008, 23:46

Would someone tell me how to find the birthdate of Ferdinand Anibile Chiaramonti of Genoa, Italy? He was in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1940s working at Bethlehem Steel. He died there in 1966.

Thank you for the replies about Ferdinand Anibile Chiaramonti. I really appreciate it. How did you determine that he was born in 1897? I just heard today that he was born August 27, 1898 so that is close to what you said. Is there any way to find out more about him? I think he came to the U.S.A. from Genoa. I wanted this information in order to buy a grave stone marker for him. I don't know anything about him eventhough he raised me. He did not speak that much English but he did tell me he was born on the same street as Christopher Colombus.

Possible Annibale Chiaramonti 1921 arrival... If this manifest is correct probably he was employed on the ship.... I know that sometimes seamen landed from the ship to stay in USA....

Hi Valarie :D !

Great find. I think you've got him.

"The Rise and Fall of Steel in Baltimore — Sparrows Point
Steel was brought to the City with the construction of a steel mill and shipyard by the Pennsylvania Steel Company in 1893, and came to dominate the local economy following the company’s acquisition by Bethlehem Steel in 1916."
