FHC Film SECRET

Postby drivingalong » 21 Feb 2008, 03:11

Hi...

In case you are going to read FHC film reels....

I visited the FHC for the second time today reading films. I have discovered that the films I ordered are narrower than most and as a result, neeed a different reader that magnify's the image much more. I did not know this until I visited a bigger center today that has a full library of genealogy related books as well. I also saw the digital machine - it is linked to a PC so you can print or save a GIF to bring to the forum for help. Wow, wish I knew these things before working on the "weaker" machine. I have however found people of interest. More to do (and redo).

Bottom line: if you have a norrow film real, be sure yo have the right reader - much easier to see 4X larger!
