From Castro Dei Volsci or the area .Can't find Carlo so there has to be shortening of the real surname.

Need some more info...

Why do you think the name is Carlo? is there a document, census that leads you to believe this?

Town of origin...there is the name Carlo present in the Province of Frosinone, same Province of Castro Dei Volsci.

GIve us a document to refer to, and we all will see what we can find.

In Sharpsburg there is only one Carlo family in 1910, 1920. In 1900 appears to be Di Carlo. Suanj is on the correct track here, as usual!

You need more specific information...and if they arrived before 1892, you won't find them at Ellis Island.

Start with the facts and then move from there. There must be some record of the Carlo's you seek that will shed some additional light on the family.
