Sicilian info on Guiseppe Parise born 1888 in Monguiffi

Post by guiseppe »

First time on the site; trying to find Sicilian family information on my grandfather Guiseppe Parise who was born in Mongiuffi Malia in Sicilia in circa 1888, immigrated to America in circa 1906. I plan to visit the Island and local area this month.

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are quite a few manifests for Parise but I'll start with the 2 from.......

Mongiuffi Melia, province: Messina - region: Sicilia

Possible 1910 manifest - line 8

Possible 1914 manifest - line 18

Let me know if either are a possibility.

You can write to Mongiuffi Melia civil record office, in order to get his real birth record

Comune
Ufficio di Stato Civile
Piazza San Nicolò, 8
CAP 98030
Mongiuffi Melia (ME)
Italy

or you can rent Mongiuffi Melia civil record microfilms to FHL (mormons)

I hope it helps
