Anzano Di Puglia/general question, help please!

Postby kahuka » 02 May 2008, 02:13

I am looking for information about my great-great grandparents. My great-grandfather was Antonio Flammia from Azano Di Puglia, and his wife, my great -grandmother, was Lucia Pagliarulo. They moved to the USA with my great uncle in the 1920's. Do you think that if I wrote to the town hall in Anzano Di Puglia, supplying them my great-grandparents names, they could provide me with papers containing the information about their parents' names? Grazie!

Hi Kahuka have you tried the ellis island web site. You can enter the names of yor grandparents and it may bring up some info for you. Ship manifests , who they came to live with. This was the first thing I did and with the help of some very intellegent people on this site I was able to find a variety of info.

You have to give them a birth year for them to look up the information. If you don't have at least a birth year, check with under their card catalogue. They have microfilm of your town: ... umns=*,0,0

You can rent it and view it at a family history library and search the records on your own.
