Looking for Ippolisto Giuseppe Castelli of Atripalda

Postby castle411 » 19 May 2008, 01:54

I am looking for any information about Ippolisto Giuseppe Castelli of Atripalda, Avellino, Campania. He was born on May 1842, day unknown. He was married in 1870 to Rosa Di Vino (Divino, De Vino, Devino). They had four children, Pasquale, Carmella, Francesco, and Vincenzo. He left Italy on the SS India and arrived inthe US at Castle Gardens on July 10, 1890. He traveled with his brother, Domenico b: 1852.

His birth, marriage and the birth of his children all took place in Atripalda.

I need links to sites that have access to Italian genealogy records for information such as birth and marriage certificates. Church records would be helpful.

I've found research materials for seven generation of Castelli's in the US since 1890 but I've hit a brick wall trying to get info from Italy. Can you help.

I've attached a journal record of Ippolisto and his decendants from 1890 to the present to aid you in trying to help me.

The Mormon's have the civil records of Atripalda from 1809 to 1899:
Registri dello stato civile, 1809-1899

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... umns=*,0,0
Ippolito is a first name... But Ippolisto is a first name very popular in Atripalda..
