Tomasso Genotti & Carolina Vottero/Mezzenile/Torino Ital

Postby MaryGenottiCollins » 04 Jun 2008, 19:07

How would I go about getting information on my Italian great-grandparents? Since my ital relatives dont communicate, I'd like to try to find some information myself.

Thanks,
Mary Genotti-Collins

Thanks! I have a few of the books listed.

The one that (in my humble opinion) is the best is:

A Genealogist’s Guide to
Discovering Your Italian Ancestors
How to find and record your unique heritage
By Lynn Nelson

I will call the Latter Day saints tomorrow and see if they will allow me to order the films I need over the phone. That way, I will only have to go there to read.

Thanks for the reminder!

They don't usually allow you to order by phone. You have to fill out a request and pay in advance. At least, that has been my experience. Also, when you go in, search their permanent collection. You could get lucky and find that someone else ordered the same film and has it on permanent loan.
