What did a carrier do

Postby tenby » 17 Jun 2008, 08:18

I have just discovered my gggrandfather was a carrier in Pognana in around the mid 1850s I know nothing else about him only that his name is Carlo Besselo. The information I got it from is his sons marriage certificate his name also being Carlo.

Regards

Lynne

Did you translate another word to arrive at the fact he was a 'carrier' ? Was he shown perhaps as a 'corriere' (courier)? Or maybe a 'trasportatore' (a goods conveyor)? Much depends on the original word in Italian.
If you think education is expensive - try ignorance!
