As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Sitting in front of the TV, I just now endured another of "those" commercials and it got me wondering...

Are drugs like Viagra and Cialis available in Italy? What is the typical co-payment required for them?

Those drugs are available and payment depends on your annual income.
