Itinerant musicians of the late nineteenth century

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Itinerant musicians of the late nineteenth century

Post by Morto »

It seems that most Italians arriving in England in the late nineteenth century made their living as musicians, including all of my family from Frosinone. Can anyone recommend a cd with the type of music they may have been playing?
Thanks
