I wanted to invite everyone to take a look at my new page on Italian Easter traditions http://www.celenzaheritage.com/main/Easter.html
We are blessed to have a contributor who is 87 years old and has a great memory of his childhood in Italy. Enjoy!
Easter traditions
Re: Easter traditions
Thank you so much for that memory (and the recipies)
I,too, remember my childhood Good Friday visit to 7 churches in Newark, NJ. We actually did have that many Catholic churches in walking distance!!! Does anyone have an idea where that tradition came from?
Your site gets better and better each time I visit it.

Thanks, misbris! You are a sweetheart! I think I may add a bit about Easter Monday, Pasquetta.
Re: Easter traditions
I remember Good Friday being a day to look forward to after the morning.
Morning was the time to go tell your sins.I remember one of the first times
I went in and began to confess ,told all I did ,spilled all and realized I was confessing to an empty booth!
