hi,
take a look to this website :

http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Poin ... ame.html#A

the equivalent for marion is "marietta" like mary for maria...

best regards
I'm searching lost relatives and descendant of my greatgrandfather Vincenzo Genualdi (or Gennaldi or Genuardi) and my greatgrandmother Concetta Davola (their sons: Angela, Carmela, Antonio, Bartolomeo, Ernesto, Simone, Riccardo, Maria) went in Chicago,Ill., and New Orleans, in 1880-1920 from Sicily. Other family related : Jacobucci or Jacopucci (from Central Italy).

In the US, Marion can be either male (actor John Wayne, for example, was born Marion Robert Morrison) or female (world champion track & field athlete Marion Jones).

Are you looking for a masculine or feminine version of Marion?

A possible coreesponding name for a woman coul be Marianna a name by itself or sometimes the aggregation of Maria Anna
For a man could be Mariano or Mario.
