Need help translating this birth record in Latin

Postby gerald325i » 28 Nov 2009, 23:20

I need help translating this birth record, it looks like a church record to me but not sure if it is a baptism record or not.

It is from Nissoria, Enna, FHL Film # 2213578, #99/1899 page 419

I am reposting this from the general forum where it is buried in an older trail.

Anno Domini millesimo octing(entesi)mo nonagesimo nono, die sexta Augusti 1899
Ego Sac(erdos) Joseph F(rater) Carli Parochus baptizavi infantem heri natum ex Vito Mantia et Lucia Rinaldi
iugalibus, cui [imposui] nomen Petrus Paulus. Patrini fuere Philippus Lamagna et Felicita Antonino eius uxor a Leonforte.

Padrini furono Filippo Lamagna e Felicita Antonino
sua moglie da Leonforte.

Duplicating the post does not help  , I have translated this document in the other thread, where I was expecting it!

Thank you both then and sorry about the repost. I felt as my original post had been inserted in the wrong forum judging by the answers given by other people who would rather post something unuseful than nothing.

Going back to the translation, this is then a baptism record! WOW!

And it gives me an additional clue giving me the origin of the aunt: Leonforte.

This is great, thanks again!
