Help with English to Italian please

Postby giannattasio » 26 Apr 2010, 20:17

I'm trying to translate my own documents for the consulate. Would appreciate help with how to translate these occupations: 1) Longshoreman, NYC piers 2) dress examiner, garment business, 3) checker for railroad.

Thanks Livio, very helpful. If it is any help the dress examiner would check finished garments for defects. The railroad job I'm going to have to check with someone in my family to see what the position entailed.
