I'll give this my best :-)
Though the writer likes to separate the letters within words so it gets hard to read...

Dear nephew Dominic I am letting you know that we have received your dear letter. We are happy to hear from your letter. We know that you are sorry about the death of mother and we are also very sorry. She was a beautiful woman and also your father was a handsome man. God has taken them ...patience. Dear nephew we know that when you became 30 years old you came to see us in Italy with your mother. (then I lose the meaning but it looks like "God looks over me, Aunt Maddalena and Uncle Pasquale and the children")
Greetings from aunt Filomena

I'm sure someone will look this over and offer clarification. :-)

Thank you very much. It makes sense and I appreciate your reponse. If I have other things to translate, is this a good vehicle to use?
Thank you

T,
I'm sorry, but you have misunderstood some things in this letter.

It seems that this aunt understood that when he turned 30, he was going to make a trip to Italy with his mother, but now that can't happen because she passed away. On page 2 she says "dear nephew Dominick, if you wish to come to Italy, we are very happy that you come and find us because we don't know you and you don't know us. She also says "we are happy that you have another baby."

At the very bottom she says, write soon.

She also says "we wish to write always" and that he can go to this Vincenzo d'Astia who knows how to write Italian

I don't see where it says that God looks over me, etc.

I believe it says :

da me zia Maddalena e zio Pasquale e figli

a saluti do zia Filomena

From me Aunt Maddalena, Uncle Pasquale and children. I give greetings to Aunt Filomena. ("do" is the word "I give" from the verb dare)

It happens to the best of us, T. By the way, I still can't get those smiley face icons to cooperate, but I'm smiling.
